The best insulation to use is Thermofleece – this breathes, can regulate moisture and is very pleasant to handle. It is also a very environmental product providing a market for sheep’s wool. However, it is expensive.
Hemp, jute, fibreglass, and mineral wool insulation was also tried above the Warmcell, increasing the overall loft insulation to 300mm.
