The Pittenweem Rowing Club was founded in 2010 to allow the community to participate in the Scottish Coastal Rowing project. The project aims to bring back the tradition of boat building and encourage Coastal Rowing & Racing around the Scottish Coastline. It has built a 22 foot long rowing boat, and rows in community regattas around Scotland. Come along for rowing practice (details on the Facebook page) - see the East Neuk from the sea! |

TRANSPORT
Offer a lift in your car or grab a lift: http://gocarshare.com/standrews If you regularly commute from the Anstruther area to St Andrews or Dundee you can now save £1000′s of pounds each year by joining our Rideshare group. Leaving Anstruther at 8.05am each workday we make a limited number of stops en route to our final destination in Dundee. Its quicker and cheaper than the bus or private ridesharing groups, as the fixed costs are shared. http://wheelshare.org.uk/?page_id=8 Need the use of a car for a short time - Anstruther Wheelshare has a car you can rent by the hour. http://wheelshare.org.uk TRANSITION Learn more about local transition initiatives: Transition St Andrews Get involved with a local currency based on a Local Exchange Trading Scheme (LETS) allowing members to trade in goods, skills & services: www.Saint-Exchange.org.uk Need things but have no money, or are happy to give unwanted things away, but don't know to whom? http://groups.freecycle.org/EastFifeUK/description FOOD GROWING Want to grow food, but have no garden, or have too large a garden to cope with: www.landshare.net allows you to link up - there is no-one registered for Pittenweem yet, but we could start a group.
